Can’t Connect To The Internet?
Try These Tricks:
Well, we are out in the country, so things can sometimes get a little spotty. Try these steps first:
1. Turn on the living room TV. If you see the apps page, then the internet is working and connecting to devices.
2. Try turning off your Wi-Fi off and use only cellular data.
3. Questions? Call us at one of the numbers listed under, "House Info," on the home screen.
4. If these things do not work, then it’s probably your device, so try these next steps:
Android:
1. Restart your phone.
The first thing to try when your phone won’t connect to the internet is a simple restart. Turning your phone off and back on allows all of its programs to shut down and restart naturally, potentially fixing a minor software issue.
2. Sign into the network.
Check your icons to make sure you are signed in. If you
don’t get the sign in notification, go to Settings > Network &
Internet > Wi-Fi and tap the Wi-Fi network to sign in.
Alternatively, tap the gear icon and tap sign in.

3. Forget and rejoin the network.
This is another effective troubleshooting technique worth trying. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and long-press the Wi-Fi connection without internet. Select Forget network on the pop-up menu. Return to the Wi-Fi settings menu and rejoin the Wi-Fi network; tap the network name and enter the password. Proceed to the next troubleshooting step if you still can’t access the internet after rejoining the network.

4. Check your Date & time settings.
You may also encounter difficulties accessing the internet
if your device’s date and time settings are incorrect. On your Android device,
go to Settings > System > Date & time and
ensure you’re using the network-provided
time and time zone.
Someone may have changed the router’s MAC address filter and blocked your Android device by accident. If that’s the case, you can’t access the internet even if your device connects to the network successfully. Head to your router’s settings menu and whitelist your device on the network. Navigate to Security or Access Control or WLAN (the option may vary depending on your router model) and check the MAC Address Filtering menu. If your phone or tablet is on the list of blocked devices, click Remove or Allow to restore internet access.
Pro Tip: Go to Settings > About phone > Wi-Fi MAC Address or Hardware information to check the MAC address of your Android device.
6. Reset network settings.
Resetting your phone’s network settings will revert all connection preferences for Wi-Fi, cellular data, and Bluetooth to factory default. Likewise, the operation will clear all previously joined networks. This means you’ll need to re-enter the network credentials for secured Wi-Fi networks.
Make sure you have the password to the Wi-Fi network handy before performing a network reset. Here’s how to reset your device’s network settings:
1. Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options and
tap Reset Wi-Fi,
mobile & Bluetooth.
2. Tap Reset Settings and enter your phone’s password or pattern to authenticate the network reset.
3. Tap the Reset Settings button again and wait until you get a success message. Reconnect your device to the Wi-Fi network and check if you now have internet access.
Apple:
1.Restart your iPhone.
The first thing to try when your iPhone won’t connect to the internet is a simple restart. Turning your iPhone off and back on allows all of its programs to shut down and restart naturally, potentially fixing a minor software issue.
2. Make sure you're within range of the router.
If you're too far from your Wi-Fi router, you can't get a signal, so make sure that you're within range. Make sure you are in the cabin when you try to connect.
3. Forget the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone.
Sometimes forgetting your Wi-Fi network on your iPhone and setting it up like new can fix connectivity issues. When you connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network for the first time, it saves information about that network and how to connect to it. If part of that connection process has changed, it could be the reason why your iPhone won’t connect to the internet, or why your iPhone says, “No Internet Connection.” Make sure to write down your Wi-Fi password befor
e you complete
this step! You’ll have to reenter it when you reconnect to the network. Open
Settings and tap Wi-Fi. Tap on the information button next to your Wi-Fi
network, then tap Forget
This Network. Then go back
to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap
on your Wi-Fi network to reconnect to it.
4. Make sure that Wi-Fi is on and you can see your network.
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and make sure that Wi-Fi is on. Tap the name of your Wi-Fi network to join. A blue checkmark beside a network name means that you're connected.
If you see Auto Join Disabled under your Wi-Fi network name, tap it turn on Auto-Join.
5. If asked, enter the Wi-Fi password.
If asked, enter the password for your Wi-Fi network. Even if you enter the correct password, you might see an "unable to join the network" message or an "incorrect password" message.
6. Check your VPN configuration.
It’s possible an issue with your VPN is preventing your iPhone from connecting to the internet. Try turning off your VPN in Settings > VPN. Then, turn off the switch next to Status. You’ll know your VPN is off when it says Not Connected. Try connecting to the internet now that your VPN is off. If it works, there’s probably an issue with your VPN.
7. Turn cellular off and back on.
Turning Cellular Data off and back on can sometimes fix minor connectivity issues. Open Settings and tap Cellular. Then, turn off the switch next to Cellular Data. Wait a few seconds, then turn it on again.
8. Check for issues with your Wi-Fi network.
If iOS or iPadOS detects an
issue with your Wi-Fi connection, you might see a Wi-Fi recommendation under
the name of the Wi-Fi network that you're connected to. For example, you might
see the alert "No Internet Connection." To get more information, tap
the Wi-Fi network.
9. Turn off Airplane Mode.
Your device will not connect if its in Airplane Mode – turn it off.
10. Still can't connect?
Reset your Network Settings. If
you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General >
Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. If you're
using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset >
Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular
settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.
11. Final steps.
If
your iPhone still won’t connect to the internet after following of the steps
above, you may have to perform a deeper reset on your iPhone. Before you do,
head to Settings -> General ->
Software Update and make sure your iPhone is running the
latest version of iOS. Tap Download
and Install if a software update is available. Apple
regularly releases iOS updates to fix minor bugs and problems, one of which
could be preventing your iPhone from connecting to the internet.
