It can get pretty windy up at The Outpost! Measured gusts can easily hit between 20 - 30 mph. Please do the following to protect items:

1. This is a German-pioneer cabin with a metal roof – it will make sounds during high winds.

2. Never leave the front and back doors open at the same time – they will slam shut and scare the crap out of you.

3. Push doors firmly closed until you hear a click.

4. Always flip chairs down when not in use.

5. Do not leave any lightweight items outside.

6. Keep the firepit lid in place.

7. Strap down items with the bungee cords.

8. Keep the garbage lid strapped down.

9. Be mindful of cigarettes and cigars.

10. Keep vehicle windows rolled up.

11.   Keep doors closed and deadbolts locked.
