Need to check-in earlier? Follow these steps:

     a. Go to your Hostaway Guest Portal by opening the email you received, “Thank You For Booking!” You will find the portal under item #2. Select  the portal link. If you cannot locate the email, ask us and we will send   you the portal link.

     b. Scroll down and on the left side you will see, “Enhance your stay.”

     c. Select Early Check In Request.

     d.   Follow the instructions.

We offer self-check in via a door lock, and we will email you an access code the day before your arrival.

  • To unlock: Go to the front door -- on the left door jam there is an Igloohome Smart Keybox. Press and hold the lock symbol to wake up the device, enter your code, then touch the lock symbol again. Open the devioce and take out the two sets of keys.
  • To lock: close the Keybox and it will lock automatically.

The main gate and courtyard gates swing inward. You must manually open them and they have tiebacks to anchor, if needed. Please close the inner courtyard gate closed at all times to keep out live stock and other animals.

There is free parking anywhere on the property.

Questions? Call us at one of the numbers listed under, "House Info," on the home screen.

Here Are Some Packing Tips For The Outpost

Because of our higher altitude, there is a higher UV exposure, greater wind, and lower winter temperatures:

1. Make sure you are topped off with fuel before turning onto RR965 – there is no gas station in our area.

2. Backpacks.

3. Bikes/ ATV (there are unending miles of empty roadways).

4. ChapStick.

5. Charcoal & lighter fluid - we provide some lighter fluid as a courtesy, but you should bring your own as you may run out.

6. Hiking boots & hiking sticks (it’s rocky in many areas).

7. Long sleeve shirts.

8. Neck socks.

9. Pocket knife.

10. Sunglasses/sunblock.

11. Swimsuits for the hot tub.

12. Walking sticks.

13. Water jugs (we have a water filter in the fridge).

14. Whistles.

15. Wide brim hats.

16. Winter gear (for wintertime).

Please do not bring iron skillets – they will chip the farmhouse porcelain sink. You will be charged full repair costs for fixing sink chips. Thank you!
