House Info
Arrival & Departure
- To unlock: type the numbers on the keypad
- To lock: press the "lock" button
- Place all used bedding and towels in the laundry room.
- Please do not remove mattress covers.
- Place dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it.
- Close and lock all windows and doors.
- Check for all belongings!
- Please remove open food items in refrigerator and cabinets.
- Please place any trash on the property in trash bags and place in the metal trash bin in the driveway.
- Lock the front door as you exit
Check In
Check-in is anytime after 4:00pm
Please contact us if you need early check-in and we will do our best to accommodate.
We offer self-check via a door lock, and will send you an access code the day before your arrival.
Check Out
Check-out is at 10:00am. Late checkout must be arranged in advance. In the summer months late checkout is not available.

House Rules
Please follow these rules throughout your stay:
- No smoking inside the property, including e-cigarettes.
- Town of Lake Lure quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am. No loud music, parties, events or disruptive behavior is allowed at any time.
- No Pets are allowed under any circumstances
- Parking is limited to 3 cars. Please check out the parking tab for more detailed information
Parking
There are 3 parking spots for our property. These are all located right next to the house. These 3 spots are in a line and are parallel type parking spots. Our house is the last house on the road but there are full time residents just past our house so please be aware when parking to leave room for a single lane of cars to come by.
Trash
Please put all trash in trash bags and dispose of them in the cans located in the black metal trash bin. Please make sure door is secured. This is a bear proof bin that will deter unwanted visitors.
Trash is collected on Monday mornings and they will only take the trash that is in bags and located in metal bin. Please don't leave trash on top or on the side of the garbage bin or outside on any of the decks. If all cans are full, please let us know and we will come remove it from the property.
Lighting
The light switches that arent obvious what they operate are labeled and the remote controls should be located in the holder mounted on the wall or on a table or nightstand within the room. Some of the lights have a delay on the bulbs so when turning a light on if it doesnt come on immediately please wait a few seconds and it will come on.
Outdoor
Grilling
There is a regular grill on the side patio and a flat top grill on the upper deck. These are both gas grills and the gas bottles have gas level indicators on the line by the knob. There is an extra bottle located behind the gate on the side patio if any of the bottles run out. If for some reason you run out of gas completely let us know and we will get you a bottle as soon as possible. When you are finished with the grills please make sure the gas bottle is turned off and the grill is scraped down and clean. This will help with any unwanted visitors.
Firepit
Firepit: There is gas firepit on the lower deck. Please remove the metal cover and place in a safe area. The lighting instructions are on the side panel and there is a video attached. After each use please put the lid back on once it is safe to protect it from the weather. The gas bottle is located under the blue table and if it runs out there is extra bottle on the upper side porch behind the gate.
Kayaks
There are two tandem kayaks that can be used with two people but the seat can also be moved to the center to accomodate one user. The paddles are located on the dock. Please make sure you wear a lifejacket when using the kayaks.
Boat
The pontoon boat is exclusively for our guests and can be rented for a seperate fee at any time during your stay. Once you have rented the boat you will need to take a "Boating Course and Test" from The Town of Lake Lure in order to have a license to operate a boat on Lake Lure. Once this is completed Brody will meet you to give you the keys and some basic instructions on how to use the boat.
Boating Safety
Life Jackets are required for each person when out on the water in the boat, kayak, and or paddleboards. These life jackets are located on the dock inside the deck box or under the seats of the boat. Adults must have the life jackets on the vessel but dont have to wear them and children under 13 years old are required to wear the life jackets when out on the water.
No Towing- The Town of Lake Lure prohibits vacation rental guests from towing of any kind. No tubing, skiing or wakeboarding.
No Wake Zones- Please be aware of designated no wake zones marked by signage or buoys in the water.

The router is located on the sidetable with lamp in the living room. If the internet goes out, try resetting the router. If that doesn't work, please let us know and we will call the internet company.
Kitchen
Feel free to use our various kitchen appliances during your stay.
Gas Stove
Coffee: Keurig coffee maker (can do single cups or full pots)
Microwave: Located above coffee maker to the right of the refrigerator.
Dishwasher: Dishwasher pods are located under the sink. We will provide enough for the first few loads.
TVs
We have a TV on each level of the home. The main floor is a Smart TV and the basement and upstairs TVs have Amazon Firesticks. Bring your streaming passwords and enjoy any of your shows.
Emergency Contacts
In case of an emergency, dial 911.
There are fire extinguishers located under the kitchen sink, next to the fireplace downstairs, next to the grill on the back deck, the fire pit deck and on the boat. A first-aid kit is available in the kitchen cabinet draw closest to the table.
