Check In
Check-in is anytime after 3pm.
We offer self-check in via digital door lock, we'll send you an access code a few days before your arrival.
- To unlock: type the code on the keypad and you will hear the door unlock
- If it is dark, you can push the lock icon first and it will illuminate the keypad.
- To lock: press the lock icon at the top of the lock.
Please let us know if you will be checking in late, we'll leave the porch light on for you.

Check Out
Check-out is at 10 AM.
- Place all your used towels on the bathroom floor.
- Strip any beds of sheets that were used.
- Empty and dispose of any food/drink in the refrigerator.
- Wash any used dishes and leave in strainer.
- Place all trash in Red dumpsters.
- Double check all rooms for personal items.
- Close all windows and doors.
- Lock the front door.
- Make plans to come back and see us again.

House Rules:
We want you to feel completely at home during your stay! To ensure everyone has an amazing experience, here are a few simple guidelines:
Please no Smoking - Our Cabins are Smoke Free. Please, NO Smoking, Vaping, E Cigarettes anywhere inside the cabin. Guests who smoke inside will be charged a minimum of $200 cleaning and deodorizing fee.
Only guests listed on the reservation are allowed to stay at the cabin
There is parking for 2 autos in the driveway in front of the cabin. Please do not park on the grass. If you need a larger space for a boat or trailer, let us know, we should be able to accommodate you.
Quiet hours are from 10pm – 8am. Please keep noise to a minimum during these hours including outdoor spaces. We have wonderful guests staying with us whom make this place safe and peaceful.
No large parties, events or large gatherings are permitted. This includes but is not limited to any unregistered guests, bachelor / bachelorette parties, and any events with loud music or celebrations that may disturb other guests.
No large bonfires in the fire pits.
Pets are welcome and must be listed on the reservation.
* Pets must always be on leash. This is for their safety and safety of other guests.
* Pets are not allowed on furniture inside the cabin.
* IF you plan to leave your pet in the cabin when you are out please make sure they are not barking while you are gone.
* Please pick up after your pets. Extra waste bags are in the cabin if needed.
* Please dispose of pet waste bags in the red dumpster.
While we strive to ensure all amenities are available during your stay, mechanical issues can occasionally occur, and we always do our very best to remedy them as quickly as possible. In the rare and unlikely event that an amenity becomes unavailable, we will provide reasonable compensation as follows, based on the length of the outage and the impact of your stay:

* Appliances 10% refund per day

Being a small cabin, we have a small hot water heater. Please plan accordingly when showering for more than 2 people. Hot water usually lasts for 10-15 minutes per tank.
Please note – We are on a Septic System so please do not put any wipes or other items down and the drains including the toilet, only toilet paper.
Heating and Cooling
The cabin is heated and cooled with (2) mini split systems. One is located in the bedroom and the other in the living area.
To operate: use the remotes located on the wall in the bedroom and living room - choose Heat or Cool and then use the up / down arrows for your preferred temperature. They do take a few minutes to power up and start blowing.
There is also a small fan located in cabins with lofts

TVs
There are (2) Smart TVs located in the cabin. (One) in the bedroom and (one) in the living area. Both are Roku streaming. Feel free to sign into your favorite streaming service. be sure to sign out before you leave.
If the TV goes offline – Go to setting, and sign back into the Wi-Fi, user name and password are listed in the cabin.
Trash and Recycling
There are trash cans located in the kitchen and the bathroom. Extra bags are located under the sinks in the kitchen and bathroom.
If the receptacles become full during your stay, you can tie up the bag and place it in the Red dumpster.
You can separate your recycling and place them in a bag on the front porch. We will collect them after you checkout.
Fire Pit
Each cabin has its own fire pit directly in front of the cabin.
We start you out with a bucket of wood. You can purchase more from us at $5 an armful. You can send via Venmo or leave cash on the counter of the cabin. All proceeds go to Schuyler County Humane Society. Wood is located behind the wooded fence near cabins #1 and #4
We also give you a few Fire Starter pods located in the living area under the TV. To use; place a pod under a few pieces of wood and light.

Barbeque
Each unit has a charcoal barbeque grill outside its cabin. There are barbeque cooking utensils located in the kitchen draw with the untensils.
If you need charcoal and lighter fluid, you can purchase some at the Dandy gas station in Hector (2 miles) or Walmart in Watkins Glen (10 miles).
Hot Tub
Cabins 1, 3, 4 and 6 have Hot Tubs.
Hot Tub Rules:
- Please shower before using the hot tub to remove lotions, oils, and other products.
This is very important for keeping the water clean and the system running properly. Oils, soaps, and lotions can quickly make the water cloudy and damage the hot tub. - No soap or oils are allowed in the tub.
- Absolutely NO glass of any kind is allowed in or around the hot tub.
- Anyone under 18 must be supervised by an adult.
- Chlorine is used as a sanitizer. Do not use the hot tub if you are allergic.
- No more than 4 people at a time
- Use the stairs to enter and exit the hot tub
- Do not use the hot tub if the water temperature is more than 105˚F
- Elderly or pregnant women should not use the hot tub
- People with heart disease, high or low blood pressure, diabetes or other illness should not use the hot tub
- People using alcohol or other drugs should not use the hot tub without consulting a physician
- Please do not pee in the hot tub
- Limit your time to 15 minutes and cool off before re-entry
- Do not use the hot tub cover as a table or a seat
