Baby Info

We love kiddos and have tons of beach toys and gear to make them feel right at home however, our home is not “baby proof.” Please take this into consideration and make appropriate adjustments based on the age and requirements of your children.

We offer a pack n' play (standard size) for guest use. If any additional baby gear is needed (think highchairs, baby gates, strollers, cribs etc) there is a fantastic rental place about a mile from our home: Baby Supplies – Page 2 – Golf Cart Rentals on Anna Maria Island (google Fun and More rentals on Gulf drive if the link doesnt work). They will deliever!

Beach Gear

We’ve stocked the garage with everything you need for an unforgettable beach day — and then some! Along with coolers, beach towels, rafts, noodles, and carts/wagons to make the haul easy, you’ll find a treasure trove of fun for the kids. Buckets and shovels? Check. Beach balls? Plenty. Even toy construction diggers perfect for building epic sandcastles or digging to “the other side of the world.” Before you pick up anything new, be sure to peek into the garage storage room — there’s a good chance we already have it waiting for you!

If using the paddles board, kayak, or canoe (not recommended for the ocean) use life-jackets!

Bikes

We provide 4–5 adult bikes for you to enjoy during your stay — it’s truly our favorite way to explore the island! While we do our best to keep them in great shape, please give them a quick safety check before riding. Helmets are highly recommended for your safety, and keep in mind that the bikes aren’t equipped for riding after sunset, as city law requires special lights. Happy pedaling!

Ideas for the kids (besides the beach!)

If you need a day out of the sun (or the rain is putting a damper on things) try out some of our favorite non-beach activities!

1. Island Branch Library: has a great kids area with toys and tons of books to read. Plus a couple mornings out of the week they have free playtime/storytime that our children LOVED when they were little. 5701 Marina Drive

2. "The Nest" at Robinson Preserve: The NEST is an incredible treetop playground and learning center tucked inside beautiful Robinson Preserve. It’s one of our favorite spots for kids to run, climb, and explore! Climb nets, balance on logs, and zip down slides. There’s plenty of space for imagination and adventure! Shaded picnic areas make it easy to take a snack break, and nearby walking trails and boardwalks are stroller-friendly and full of wildlife spotting opportunities (keep your eyes open for turtles and tropical birds!).

3. Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium:  If you're looking for a fun and educational outing with the kids, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in Sarasota is a must-visit. This hands-on aquarium lets children get up close with sea life—from touching stingrays in the interactive tanks to watching sharks, sea turtles, otters, and manatees swim in their habitats. Kids love exploring the exhibits, and parents will appreciate the focus on marine science and conservation. It’s the perfect mix of learning and play, just a short drive from the island.

Transportation

The Pool

  • There is a separate electronic key for the pool gate which is locked at all times. This key is hanging on the pineapple hooks by the front door. The attached keychain is labeled “pool.” Without the key you will not be able to access the pool. If the key is lost please notify us immediately so we may provide you with a replacement.
  • Please see provided map for location of pool within North Beach Village complex.
